About

At Three Pines Outdoor and Nature Play, I am honored to provide meaningful learning experiences for children in their early years. By blending indoor and outdoor environments, I aim to humbly support children in fostering curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Based in Cochrane, AB, in the scenic foothills region of Alberta, I believe that children in their early years thrive when they explore and engage with nature. Through hands-on activities, adventurous outdoor play, and child-led exploration, I strive to create opportunities for children to build confidence, nurture creativity, and develop essential physical literacy and life skills. At Three Pines, I believe play is learning—whether it’s climbing trees, investigating insect habitats, or creating art with natural materials, each experience is designed to spark wonder and discovery.

My program incorporates elements of forest and nature schools, using outdoor spaces to inspire learning and personal growth while also integrating indoor environments for creative and reflective activities. By spending time in nature, children naturally learn to observe, question, and connect with the world around them. This approach gently nurtures academic skills like critical thinking and problem-solving, while also fostering emotional growth, physical literacy, and overall well-being.

While outdoor exploration is at the heart of what I do, I balance it with cozy indoor activities that encourage creative play, quiet learning, and reflection during adverse weather conditions. This holistic approach ensures that every child’s unique needs and interests are met, providing a rich and fulfilling learning experience.

At Three Pines, this is more than just an outdoor program—it is a community. I aim to foster a sense of belonging and connection, not only to nature but also to each other. Join us as we inspire the next generation of explorers, thinkers, and stewards of the earth.
